Christian Liberty Academy School System (CLASS):
The Christian Liberty Academy School System (CLASS) in Cook County, Illinois, is an independent and non-denominational K-12 homeschool program serving families throughout the United States and around the world. CLASS consists of thousands of homeschools with students ranging in age from four to adult level. Our program is accredited by NAPS (National Association of Private Schools).
Tailored Homeschool Programs for K-12th Grade Students:
Kindergarten:
Our kindergarten program is designed to teach four and five-year-olds basic reading, writing, and mathematics. Completion of this material will prepare students for first grade. The following subjects are required for kindergarten:

Advanced Kindergarten:
Advanced kindergarten is designed for students who can already read full sentences, count to one hundred, and complete single-digit addition and subtraction problems, but may not be ready for first grade.
Modified First Grade:
Modified first grade is designed for students of first grade age who have not yet learned to read full sentences. If your student has already had a year of phonics-based reading, then our standard first grade program is likely to be more appropriate for your child.

High School - Grades 9-12:
In order to graduate from CLASS and receive a high school diploma, a student must successfully complete a minimum of twenty (20) credits in the following areas of study:
- Theological Studies 4.0 credits
- English 4.0 credits (including 1.0 credit of grammar and 0.5 credit research paper)
- Mathematics 2.0 credits (including 1.0 credit of Algebra 1 or a higher level algebra course)
- Science 2.0 credits (including 1.0 credit of biology)
- Heritage Studies 5.0 credits (including 1.0 credit of government and 1.0 credit of economics)
- Additional Courses 3.0 credits minimum (student may select from any available courses)
- Art, Music, and Physical Education No academic credit awarded (subjects assigned each year; requirements are set by the family)
Students transferring into CLASS at the tenth grade or higher may be eligible to waive some Theological Studies and/or Heritage Studies credits (all other areas of study must be fulfilled in their entirety). For example, a tenth grader who has never had a Theological course would not be required to make up the ninth grade credit, but would still need to take the three remaining credits.
