Scholars Online:
Scholars Online offers exceptionally rigorous academic content to students around the world. Some of our teachers were among the pioneers of online teaching in the mid-1990s. Our students have gone on to the most competitive colleges and universities in the world, and proven equal to both the academic and the human challenges of that encounter. We believe that genuine classical learning is hard and challenging — hard, because the material itself is hard, and living a committed and serious life in the world is hard; challenging, because rising to a challenge uniquely builds character. We believe that it cannot be achieved by shortcuts, or reduced to a formula. We believe that Christian learning is rooted in a recognition of our God-given nature and charity for all, even those with whom we most vehemently disagree. We believe that we can thereby mediate the love of Christ, and also model an alternative for a world that is being torn asunder by shallow and divisive discourse.

A Community Rooted in the Word:

At the core of classical Christian education, therefore, lies the difficult task of understanding one another with both charity and critical acumen. It depends directly on the close interpretation of words, arguments, and ideas, and also on the cultivation of precise expression of ideas. We are unabashedly logocentric — we prize the written word as the medium through which the most critical ideas have been conveyed throughout the generations. This underlies our approach to our source material, and also our instructional media.

Homeschool Program for Middle School and High School Students:

We offer a full college preparatory, integrated curriculum beginning in middle school that includes six years of Greek, Latin, literature, mathematics and science, as well as courses in French, philosophy, programming, history, and government.

Live chat sessions meet one to three times each week for up to 38 weeks. Class sections are small so that teachers can provide timely feedback and individual attention to each student. We keep our costs low so that you can receive tutorial-level instruction by qualified teachers — most with advanced degrees in their subject area or years of both classroom and online teaching experience — for under $10 an hour.

A Faculty Dedicated to Excellence in Instruction:

Scholars Online teachers have all completed their bachelor of arts or science, as well as graduate degrees or job experience in the fields they teach. Our biology, chemistry, and physics courses have undergone critical peer review for rigor and content, and meet the College Board standards for AP designation.  Our math and classics teachers regularly give presentations at conferences dedicated to helping others teach well. Several of our teachers were once Scholars Online students, and have returned to help further our mission and ministry.  Our students gain admission to the most competitive colleges in the country, often with scholarships.

What Parents Say about Scholars Online:

- I can't begin to share all that our kids have learned from Scholar's Online... their professors are teaching them to think....REALLY think... I'm so pleased with the information they are learning, but even more amazed by the students they are becoming.
- Had I a silver tongue, I could adequately express what these teachers have done for my children academically and morally.
- So thankful my kids have had Dr. Christe, who not only teaches advanced, thought provoking material, but also uses the rigor of science to guide students toward being thoughtful members of society,

Scholars Online has received top awards for its Latin, Science, History, and Literature courses, its  overall Classical Studies Program, and its High School core curriculum and Middle School curriculum for four years (2017-2022) from Mary Pride's Practical Homeschooling readers.
