Nurse Practitioner Jobs in West Chicago, IL

Skills Needed: Diagnose and treat a variety of speech and language disorders
Knowledge of and ability to conduct standardized testing specific to a pediatric population
Identify treatment options and develop child specific treatment plans
Complete daily documentation and billing
Complete re-evaluations and other documentation in a timely manner
Communicate with parents and caregivers as well as outside professionals (i.e., teachers, other providers, etc.)
Independently maintain caseload and productivity
Attend quarterly speech and language team meetings
Work well within a multi-disciplinary team
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Be licensed in Illinois
Love the joy of bringing happiness into the lives of children and their families.
Previous experience with feeding therapy preferred.
Great organizational and multitasking skills
Confidence speaking with parents, pediatricians, school staff, and other relevant members of the child’s therapeutic team

Skills Needed: High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education or Behavior Analysis is preferred but not required
A history of working with children, adolescents, young adults, and/or families; specific training/experience in developmental disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders is preferred but not required
Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record
Must meet the physical requirements of the position, to include lifting of clients, packages, or equipment, and accessing non-barrier free premises
Should enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team approach to develop and implement client treatment plans
Strong communication and organizational skills, detail-oriented, able to maintain records, prepare reports and develop timely correspondence
No criminal record and able to pass DSS 1326 clearance
