Summer Leadership Camps in Oregon, California & Massachusetts
Youth Empowered Action:
Youth Empowered Action (YEA) Camp is a unique and inspiring residential summer leadership program in Oregon, Massachusetts and California for youth 12-17 years who want to make a difference in the world. There will be two sessions in Oregon at Camp Adams in Molalla, Clackamas County. In Massachusetts, YEA Camp will be held at the beautiful Hilltop space of Nature's Classroom in Charlton, Worcester County. Our northern California camp will be held at the beautiful Quaker Center in Ben Lomond, Santa Cruz County, about two hours drive south of San Francisco.
YEA Camp is a collection of experienced activists, credentialed teachers, and community leaders committed to a world in which people, animals, and the planet are treated with respect, and where everyone is empowered to take action, and express what matters most to them. Youths have the power to impact the environment, their communities, and our society as a whole. YEA Camp wants to help make this happen. YEA has fiscal sponsorship as a 501(c)3 non-profit through Earth Island Institute.
1 Week Residential Summer Leadership Camps (ages 12 - 17 years)

Our Camp Director - Nora Kramer:
Nora Kramer has learned the best practices of a variety of established summer camps working as a director or senior staff over the years. She has completed the intensive Basic Camp Director Course through the American Camp Association, and is certified in nonviolent conflict resolution with youth through the Help Increase the Peace.
Campers build lifelong friendships between youth with similar interests in bettering their community and society. Youth who have participated in our programs report that the camp was one of the most fun, memorable and life-changing experiences they have had, and, with YEA’s support, many have gone on to start school clubs, plan fundraisers for nonprofits, organize a call-in to Congress, and attend hearings to comment about important community issues.
YEA Camp – Portland, OR: There will be two sessions in Oregon at Camp Adams in Molalla, Clackamas County, less than an hour from Portland. Space is limited to 28 campers per session, so please register early.
YEA Camp – Massachusetts: YEA Camp Massachusetts is held at the beautiful Hilltop space of Nature’s Classroom in Charlton. This venue is situated on 500 acres of wooded space an hour from Boston, and less than 3 hours from Manhattan. Space is limited to 32 campers.
YEA Camp – Northern CA: YEA Camp California will have one session at the beautiful Quaker Center in Ben Lomond, Santa Cruz County, about two hours drive south of San Francisco. There is limited space for 32 campers.

One of the oldest and best independent private schools in Orange County in Southern California, Eldorado Emerson Private School offers excellent preschool, elementary, and junior / senior high school summer session programs at a very reasonable price. This programs run for 6 weeks during June and July.Founded in 1958, Eldorado Emerson Private School received the highest WASC accreditation. Our summer programs are also open to students who do not currently attend Eldorado Emerson.
For our summer programs, we maintain regular school hours from 9:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday (although preschoolers have their regular half and full day schedules). We also offer before-school care (7:30am to 9:00am) and after-school care (3:00pm to 6:00pm).
