Callan School of English in Barcelona:
In Callan School of English all teachers are qualified in teaching English as a Foreign Language to adults and we also have specialized Business English teachers. Their expertise is refreshed every term through specialized courses (Workshops) on new techniques and methodologies (video, pronunciation, classroom drama techniques, etc.) and by attending committees and seminars. All staff strive to constantly assess their performance and improve with the help of feedback from students and suggestions from the director, the coordinator and other members of the team.

Callan combines two concepts in each lessons: teaching agility and constant interaction between teacher and pupil, to ensure that the student be able to use English in the shortest time possible.

The development of a lesson with the Callan Method is organized into four steps:

1) Guided Conversation
2) Shared Reading
3) Dictation
4) Introduction of New Vocabulary

Callan Cinema Club
Trips to the cinema in original version (with subtitles!). After the film students will be able to discuss the most interesting aspects of the film with the teachers in a small group once the credits roll.

The Pub Quiz
Hosted at the Philharmonic. Fun for every one! The teachers will divide into teams and compete for the Grand title of WINNER! Raffle prizes also available.

Videotheque Service of Videos and DVDs in Original Version
The centre will lend you any type of material that is necessary. Students can use the material in the centre, in our multimedia space. Free linguistic support.
Tutorials with the Director of Studies who will suggest to students the most effective ways to attain their objectives.

Callan Dinner Club
Meals in English with teachers who will brighten up the evening and surprise activities which will allow you to meet other students and teachers in a stimulating and friendly atmosphere.

Seminars
They will be varied in themes : Survival English, Introductory Business English, Working in an English speaking country, Phonology and the art of speaking...) with a large amount of participation.The topics range from Business English with a focus on preparing your own CV to Useful English that will help you in an English Speaking country.

Callan Karaoke
Come and sing your heart out to your favorite songs at a Callan Karaoke night. Smile and cheer at the teachers as they perfom renditions of Classic hits. Why not even a Duet??
