Sunset Christian School is located in Livermore in Alameda County in the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern CA. We are a state licensed preschool and elementary school offering programs to children aged 2 years through to 5th Grade. Preschool Curriculum:
Developmentally appropriate lessons are introduced at Sunset Christian Preschool. All activities are fun-filled but with clear education goals. Our quality educational program features daily Bible lessons, academics, art, music, Spanish lessons, and physical education. The preschool provides a setting in which the parent and teacher establish a mutual trust, confidence and understanding. Both parent and teacher are working together toward the growth and development of the child.

Elementary School Curriculum:
It is our goal to provide our students with ongoing excellence in education. Sunset Christian School has been created, sustained and enhanced for the purpose of providing Christ centered education. Sunset Christian offers a low student-teacher ratio to provide a healthy environment for learning where your children have one on one access to our teachers. It is our primary goal to give your child an education that will help them meet the academic challenges that await them in high school, as well as, impart to them a faith that will get them through life’s ups and downs.

Sunset Christian Elementary strives to bring academic excellence into the classroom, Our program maintains consistency throughout grades through the use of A Beka curriculum. Supplementary material is introduced periodically into the curriculum a the discretion of the teacher and administration.

Extended Care Program:
Our Extended Care program maintains a daily schedule, which defines the typical sequence of events during a normal day for your child. The program includes time for a choice of indoor and outdoor activities such as art, large and small group games, science exploration, music, reading and manipulatives.

Extended Care is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. During the school year, the center will be closed during school hours, 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. During the summer, school vacations and teacher release days the center is open all day from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Community School Age Program (CSAP):
Sunset Christian School now offers before and after school childcare for students enrolled in the Livermore schools in our area. Students are transported to and from school and join our Extended Care program for a day of fun-filled activities and more!
