We have a salon and school, both located at one modern facility. Since it’s opening in 1998, it has been the premier hairdressing school on the North Shore. With education at the heart of the business, Holly’s team is dedicated to the art of beauty. Our clients and students can expect the best experience when they visit our first class facility in North Vancouver.

We are fully accreditated by the Private Career Training Institutions Agency (PCTIA), which is the regulatory agency for private training institutions in the province of British Columbia. The Agency is given its authority by the Province of British Columbia, Ministry of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development.

Why Hairdressing?
Hairdressing is a trade that brings together two common traits that many people posess; creativity and people skills. Its a multi-million dollar industry that employs close to 11,000 people in British Columbia alone. Aside from just working "behind-the-chair", hairdressing offers many associated professions, such as beauty supply sales, technical training, and even working in the movie industry.

There is a major shortage of "good hairdressers" in the Lower Mainland. This is changing, however, with new education facilities, such as Holly's. Working in an industry such as hairdressing can be extremely fulfilling and financially rewarding. When pursuing a career many people consider university education, which can be costly, and jobs are not necessarily readily available at the end of it all. The benefits and opportunities available in the field of hairdressing are endless and the self-satisfaction is incomparable.

Our 10 month program is designed for you to achieve excellence through hands-on curriculum, made to inspire you, flex your imagination, create trends and find success. The program is 30 hours per week, running Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00am to 4:30 pm.

School Facilities:
Our school combines highly trained instructors with the best facility to create the ultimate learning centre. Within the school there is both a practical salon where students work on “real clients” and also a classroom where traditional learning takes place. Each part of the facility is equipped with up-to-date equipment and products. Because our school is so closely connected with a high end salon, students have the opportunity to experience, first-hand, what the industry is all about.
