Airline Industry, Fares & Ticketing (Domestic)

The student will study:
- How to arrange flight itineraries for travel within Canada
- Understand and apply Domestic fares, taxes, rules and regulations
- E-Ticketing

- Be knowledgeable on general security policies and procedures

Airline Industry, Fares & Ticketing (Transborder)

The student will study:
- How to arrange flight itineraries for travel between Canada and other countries
- Types of fares and carrier services
- E-ticketing
- Understand and apply fares, taxes, rules and regulations
- Country, City and Airport Codes
- Be knowledgeable on general security policies and procedures

GDS (Global Distribution System) also known as CRS (Computer Reservations System):

Currently training is provided on two widely used airline/travel agency reservation systems. APOLLO™ /Galileo International Inc. ™ and ™ SABRE™ Inc.

International Tourism Management Course:
This program includes the above course plus an additional 4 Business Management courses which are listed below.

- How to Start a Small Business
The student will learn about types of businesses, licensing, registration, bonding and insurance; possible areas of specialty (niche markets e.g. Adventure travel, luxury, cruises, weddings, honeymoons, spas/wellness etc). Writing a Business Plan is a major assignment.

- Financial Matters (Management)
The student will learn about the accounting cycle including the flow of monies, and the importance of budgeting, planning and financial forecasting

- Marketing, Advertising & Sales (Plans and Budgets)
The student will learn various ways of promoting products and services and the importance of preparing Plans and Budgets to ensure success

- Human Resources Management
The student will learn about employment and labour laws; employer/ee liabilities and rights; employment contracts; how to search, interview and hire the best; and how to determine and write job descriptions

Certificate Courses:
Short courses are also ideal for International Students with limited time remaining on their visa or Study Permit. Certificates are issued upon completion, and tuition is tax deductible.
