Silk Mandarin - Language Training Institute is a modern Chinese language school in the heart of Shanghai. As Silk Mandarin's founders are from China and The Netherlands, the school brings together the best of both worlds: home-grown methods of teaching Chinese and modern European teaching techniques and sound European management. Our main purpose is to help students to achieve better results in learning Chinese and to do this we built a method that makes their journey easier and faster.

All our teachers are full time employed, native to China and bilingual. They have a University degree in Chinese and their major is Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, they all have ample teaching experience. Our teachers are passionate about teaching and will make sure you will enjoy learning Mandarin!

The accommodation we provide is of high quality and situated in the center of Shanghai, within 10 - 40 minutes traveling to our school location. The places are convenient, safe and kept well-clean. Restaurants, supermarkets, banks, taxi and public transport are all readily available.

Shared apartment
The smallest rooms are 9 m2, the biggest one 20 m2. Per two bedrooms there is one (1) separate bathroom. The bigger the room the higher the price.

Homestay
In case of homestay the student stays with a Chinese family. As such there is ample opportunity to learn about Chinese daily life and practice Mandarin. Breakfast and dinner is included.

Hotel
The hotel is brand new, only completed in June 2017. It is a modern hotel at only 10 minutes walking distance from our school’s location. The rooms are fully equipped and all have TV. The price includes breakfast.
