The New School Montgomery:
Currently accepting students for 1st through 6th grades, our Montgomery, Alabama, private micro-school emphasizes choice, freedom, and personal responsibility. That’s why you won’t see uniforms, seating charts, or teachers lecturing to students. Our elementary students learn core skills–math, reading, and writing–via technology, including Khan Academy, but they also work on multi-disciplinary projects.

Century 2000 Day Care Center Inc is a family-owned and operated preschool and daycare center which is located in Montgomery, Alabama and extends service to Wetumpka, Prattville, and Troy. We accept children ages 3 weeks to 15 years old and offer part- time and full-time care with nutritious, hot meals served daily. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 5:00 a.m. - midnight. We focus on providing parental guidance and nurturing the child in the absence of the parents. We are D.H.R.-licensed and maintain all child-staff ratios.

Our staff is professional, well-trained, and CPR Certified. The children at Century 2000 Day Care Center Inc become well- rounded individuals learning daily. We use the A BEKA Curriculum.

University of Alabama Department of Computer Science, Summer Camps
Courses / Programs
This summer, the Department of Computer Science at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa will host a series of computer science camps for middle school and high school students. We welcome students from Alabama and throughout the United States, as well as international students from around the world.

We provide a week-long day (commuter) camp for middle school students, and two-week camps for high school students with both day and overnight options available. Our fun and educational summer tech camps cover a range of computer science topics such as game programming and robotics.

Our tech camps are taught by a University of Alabama faculty member and three Ph.D. students who have extensive experience in teaching Computer Science in high school. One assistant also has a PhD in Education and is pursuing a second PhD in Computer Science.

A limited number of merit and financial-need tuition scholarships are available.
Computer Camp for Middle School Students:
Week-long day camp - Game Programming with Scratch; Robotics.

Computer Camps for High School Students:
Two-week computer camps with commuter and residential dorm options available.
- Introduction to Programming with Java
- Smartphone Programming (Android App Inventor) and Robotics

Camps begin at 9am and end at 3:30pm Monday to Friday. There will be an hour-long lunch break with planned social events for those staying in our dorms.
