English Language Institute, Paris American Academy:
The English Language Institute at Paris American Academy (ELI PAA) offers a 4-week English language (ESL) program to international students and native French students at elementary English to advanced English levels. The objective of this course is to help students to improve their English and to prepare them for further studies at Paris American Academy, English-speaking business schools, colleges or universities in Paris, France and throughout Europe. Students who successfully complete the 4-week course receive a Certificate in English Language indicating the highest level you achieved. All textbooks and materials are provided.

English Language Course (4-weeks / 80 hours):
Our English language (ESL) program is a full-time, intensive 4-week course designed for elementary to advanced English level students.

Each hour is a real class with a real teacher and each student has 80 hours with at least 2 or 3 different teachers (American, Canadian, British) with their own specialty.

The course includes Academic English, TOEFL exam preparation, an introduction to everyday Business English vocabulary, and more...

The course is available year-round with flexible start dates. You can study for just one 4-week term or stay longer. 

Your entry level will be determined by a placement test on arrival to ensure that you are placed in the class that best suits your individual needs. 

Our multi-level program will meet your interests and needs as your English improves for academic success, career advancement, or just for everyday social and practical purposes. 

Assessment is based on attendance, participation, test scores, and assignments. All textbooks and materials are provided.

English Course Curriculum:
Our unique curriculum offers both variety and flexibility and prepares students for using English in the real world. It incorporates:

- English for academic purposes (learn to speak formally, read university-level materials, listen & write on academic topics, take timed objective tests).

- You will also prepare for the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) exam. TOEFL evaluates the ability of an non-native speakers of English to use and understand English in an academic setting. It is an admission requirement for many English-speaking colleges and universities.

- English for business studies (everyday business situations, business vocabulary, negotiations) to meet the challenges and demands of the 21st Century.

- We also offer a customized language support by providing multiple instructors with various specializations for each student.

Teaching Methods:
Our interactive leaner-centered English language program focuses on activities that are specifically designed to improve conversation skills, pronunciation, listening, vocabulary, grammar, writing and reading.

All classes are designed to explore interesting themes through group activities, role-plays, discussions, media, games, and presentations.

Topics include current events, pop-culture, phrasal verbs, and idiomatic expressions. Our students gain fluency and confidence in English in a fun and dynamic environment!
