East Coast School of Languages, Halifax:
ECSL is an independent Quality English ESL school for adults owned and managed by ESL instructors since 1998. The school caters to motivated students who want to work hard to achieve academic excellence and personal success. ECSL is located in downtown Halifax. Most students are surprised to find such bright colours in a school. They love the warm atmosphere and enjoy relaxing and studying in our spacious student lounge.
We understand that your language school experience lasts a lifetime and that choosing where to study is a major decision. It is important that you carefully evaluate a school’s location, philosophy, and learning environment to ensure they match your own learning style.
Is ECSL the right choice for you? Before you decide on a school, ask yourself some questions:
•Are you motivated and hard-working?
•Do you excel when you are challenged to do your best?
•Do you have specific language goals that you want to achieve?
•Do you want to hear and speak only English every day in school?
•Would you like to study and make friends with students from many countries?
•Are small classes and a family atmosphere important to you?
•Are you interested in taking part in fun social activities with your school friends?
If you answered yes to these questions, then ECSL is a perfect match for you!
ECSL offers 6 levels in total. A full-time intensive program is 25 classroom hours per week (at ECSL one hour = 60 minutes) and 5 hours of social activities per week. In each term, students will complete 1 full level taken in 2 six-week sessions. Students sit a midterm exam after the first session and a final exam at the end of term.
