Since 1998, ECSL has been offering exceptional ESL training to international students in Halifax, Nova Scotia - on Canada's Atlantic coast. The school is located in the heart of downtown Halifax. ECSL is an independent Quality English ESL school for adults owned and managed by ESL instructors since 1998. The school caters to motivated students who want to work hard to achieve academic excellence and personal success. ECSL is located in downtown Halifax, close to restaurants, universities, libraries, grocery stores, markets, and shops.
Our current campus was purpose-built in 2011 and is bright and welcoming – most students are surprised to find such bright colours in a school. They love the warm atmosphere and enjoy relaxing and studying in our spacious student lounge.
ECSL has capacity for 200 students in 19 classrooms. Class sizes are small – usually between 8 and 10 students, with slightly larger classes for higher academic levels. Minimum age is 17.
ECSL has a diverse student population. In 2012 we welcomed students from thirty countries including South Africa, Korea, Brazil, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, China, Colombia, Haiti and Morocco.
We offer 5 main programs of study: English for Communication, University Achievement Pathway (with bridging level), International Business English, Exam Preparation, and Teaching English to Young Learners.
