Applications are invited from prospective students for admission into standards I-IX and standard XI for the academic year 2010-2011. An admission test (written) will be held in which your son will be tested according to his current grade level in English, Mathematics, and Science. The boys qualifying for the written test will be called for an interview on the same day. The last date for receiving the application for the enrollment in admission test is 13th February, 2010.

Classes 1 to XII. English Medium. Boarding and Day School Programme; Primary School Programme; Secondary School Programme. Academic Curriculum; Ashram Curriculum. Programmes are taught in English. Conveyance Available for Day School Students of Vrindavan and Mathura.

BGIS is an educational institute of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), and is made up of two schools - the primary level Gurukula, classes 1-8, and the International School - the secondary or high school level, Classes 9-12.

The students in the International School take their final exams with a private board of education, the Council for the Indian Secondary Certificate of Education(CISCE), an internationally recognised board of education located in New Delhi, India. This is a nongovernment examinations board. It provides the high school finishing exams – the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) in Grade 10 and the Indian Secondary Certificate (ISC) in Grade 12. We are a testing center for the above examinations.

We are a member of the Association of Schools for the ISC (ASISC – all India) and the Association of ISC Schools – Uttar Pradesh (ASISC-UP). We are registered with theInternational Child Protection Office, Florida, USA. We are a member of the ASISC-UP executive committee, and we are the Mathura District zonal coordinators of the ASISC-UP.

The school, which houses both the residential and academic facilities, was built in 1977. The academic classrooms are large and well lit. The library, with its audiovisual lab, is used by all students and is a study center for the high school. We have computer and science labs, an uninterrupted power supply, twenty-four-hour security services, and our own reverse osmosis water purifying plant that supplies all the school’s drinking and cooking water. The ashrams, which house 2 to 6 students per room, have bunk beds, hot and cold bathing water, personal study desks, and a/c temple rooms for classes and studies. There is also an infirmary that offers twenty-four hour medical care, with a daily visiting doctor and two nurses.

Pure vegetarianism is a school tenet, and the children are given fresh fruits and vegetables (no garlic or onion), fresh cow’s milk, and variety of grains and pulses every day. The menu is prepared according to Indian and continental dishes.

The sports facilities consist of soccer fields; volleyball, badminton, handball, and basketball courts; a swimming pool; table tennis; and lots of space to run and play. Big boys go to tours like Gangotri, Bala ji, Dwarka, Badrinath, Waterparks, Haridwar etc.
