Atlantic School of English & Active Leisure is an English language school in the village of Schull in West Cork, South-West Ireland. Schull is located 100km south-west of Cork City (which has an international airport and ferry terminals), and approximately 360km from Dublin. We provide an intensive English language & leisure summer program for juniors and teenagers ages 9-17, as well as a Young Kids' English Summer Camp for children ages 3-8.

Our summer students come from all over the world, but they have this in common: They want to learn the language, live the life, and love the leisure here in the scenic setting of an English-speaking country.
Our students make great progress in their English language skills, particularly listening and speaking.
Our courses are professionally designed and our teachers are qualified and experienced experts. Our students build great confidence in using English.
Thanks to the hands-on, relaxed approach of our teachers here in Schull, students' progress isn't limited to just the classroom setting. Each student's age, needs & learning styles are catered for.
We offer a level assessment and interview on the first day and then you will join the right class with other students of your level.
We believe expert tuition in small groups, combined with an exciting leisure program that stimulates the mind and body, sets the tone for a successful and pleasurable learning experience.
Intensive English Language & Leisure Program - 2 weeks +
Our summer English courses are designed for juniors (ages 9-12) and teenagers (ages 13-17). We teach students of all levels from beginner to advanced.
With courses running from the end of June to the end of August, you can choose to study for as many weeks as you like.
- 20 English Lessons per week in micro-group classes of average 8 students only
- Homestay Program with a local Irish family
- A full and varied leisure program with transport by coach or boat to and from afternoon excursions

Young Kids' English Summer Camp
Designed for children ages 3-8, this camp allows your child to make new friends, while learning & playing through the English language.
English Courses for Families
Because our English summer camps for young kids and juniors are located only a few minutes walk from our Adult English school, Mum & Dad are always nearby.
We synchronise timetables so parents, younger kids and also their older siblings can attend one of our 3 separate, but closeby centres.
This allows them to easily enjoy a unique ‘whole family’ learning experience, but with the needs of each family member attended to, according to their age and level.
Year-Round English Courses for Children & Teenagers:
Closed group or 'one to one' or 'two to one' Junior courses are available at any time throughout the year. In addition, we provide Junior English courses at Easter or other weeks by special arrangement.
Quality English Teachers:
All our teachers are qualified to a very high standard. Because we are also a teacher training centre, our own teaching methods are always being upgraded and reassessed in order to ensure our programmes are effective and successful for our students.
We know that younger learners hate being bored not just in their free time, but in the classroom too.
As we are located right beside the Atlantic Ocean, we can offer lots of exciting watersports - sailing, kayaking, scuba diving, surfing and lots of beach sports.
As there is wonderful green countryside and hills around us, we can go horse-riding, play tennis, golf, go cycling, hiking and have picnics and barbecues on top of Mount Gabriel.
Additional Activities
We also offer jewellery making, stone engraving, paper making and art lessons and workshops.

Total immersion experience in the English language by staying with a family in the local area. We always try to place our students in families with children and teenagers of their own age whenever possible.
Our families are carefully chosen for their friendliness and hospitality and they will help you with your English too.

Students can also choose to stay in Bed & Breakfast accommodation or in a local hotel.
South West Cork has been described as "the most magical place in Ireland", with a mix of mountains, moors, wild hills full of lakes, deep river valleys and dramatic cliffs that overlook the Atlantic.
Not surprisingly, it is home to many world famous artists, writers and musicians who find the surroundings both peaceful and inspirational.

During the summer months Learning-Experiences-Ireland offers a unique Study English and Music in Ireland - Homestay Programme for young people including beginner language learners. Camp Yojoa is for children and young people aged 7 -17 from countries across the world who want to learn and practise English, meet new people, get involved in our fun activities and be a part of our Camp Yojoa community. We believe that camp is a unique and life changing experience which supports the learning and personal development of our campers.Camp Yojoa is based in a boarding school for local and international students. It is located around 1 hour outside of Dublin in County Westmeath in the midlands of Ireland. The school has fully equipped dormitory rooms in separate locations for boys and girls.
The English immersion classes focus mainly on speaking with some parts of the lessons focusing on reading and writing. We want to improve campers’ technical skills but also their confidence and understanding of the language.

Cow House Studios is a progressive artist-run studio space set in the farmland of County Wexford (approximately one hour's drive from Dublin) in South-East Ireland. • English Language immersion course for students aged 12 to 17 in County Sligo in the beautiful West of Ireland!• The programme consists of 3 hours of English tuition each morning. Afternoons are filled with a choice of fun activities including Kayaking, Horse-Riding, Cookery Lessons, Irish Dancing and Zip-Lines in the local forest park!
