Brushstrokes Art School, Dublin: Brushstrokes Art School provide quality art classes in Ongar, Dublin 15 (near Blanchardstown) for children between the ages of 6 and 12. Our kids classes take place on Saturdays at 11am and 12.15pm and run on a continuous basis throughout the year. You can join at any time once we have a vacancy in the class of your choice.
Our art classes for children are designed to ensure a balance between the innate abilities that all children possess, while also creating a relaxed and fun learning environment that allows for natural and structured progression at their own pace. They work with water-based paints, pastels, pencils and paper. Some children also work with oil paints. We work with them and introduce them to different drawing and colouring techniques and we guide them to choose their own compositions. We don't enforce our views but allow them to take on board the techniques as it suits them.
Testimonials for our Art School: "The attention given to every pupil from the beginner to the longest at class is excellent and very encouraging. A real professional approach from Phelim, Caroline and all the teaching staff. You just keep on improving." - John MacNeice
"Brushstrokes has a great relaxed atmosphere, excellent teachers, very helpful and professional." - Alice O’Connor

Camp Yojoa is for children and young people aged 7 -17 from countries across the world who want to learn and practise English, meet new people, get involved in our fun activities and be a part of our Camp Yojoa community. We believe that camp is a unique and life changing experience which supports the learning and personal development of our campers.
Camp Yojoa is based in a boarding school for local and international students. It is located around 1 hour outside of Dublin in County Westmeath in the midlands of Ireland. The school has fully equipped dormitory rooms in separate locations for boys and girls.
The English immersion classes focus mainly on speaking with some parts of the lessons focusing on reading and writing. We want to improve campers’ technical skills but also their confidence and understanding of the language.
Campers get the opportunity to have an amazing cultural experience by visiting Dublin City.
We believe that by having an immersive English elective our campers always have a unique opportunity to practise and improve their understanding of the language during camp.
Campers will be put into three groups; beginner, intermediate and advanced based on parent recommendation and an assessment completed by our English teachers on the first day of the elective.
Electives / Activities include:
- sports
- outdoor adventure
- performing arts
- dance
- arts and crafts
- mad science
