The Barstow School:
The Barstow School, located in southern Kansas City, Missouri (20 minute drive from the Plaza), is an accredited, nonsectarian, coeducational, independent preparatory school offering preschool through 12th grade programs. Barstow's Personalized College Counseling Program:
The Barstow School college counseling program is designed to support each phase of the student's college search process: exploration, selection, application, and the transition to college. Our program strives to match students with the college or university that is most suited to their interests and goals.
The purpose of college counseling is to help students realize their goals for continued studies while helping them to make a good match. Although the college admission process is often perceived to be highly stressful, our belief is that through education, self-knowledge, and access to our staff’s professional resources, Barstow students can take ownership of the process.
This college planning process begins in each student's freshman academic year and will continue through his/her senior year. Our aim is to introduce to the students the terms, guidelines/timelines, nuances, and informational programs at age- and grade-appropriate times.

ASA Christian Academy is a private Christian school and learning center in Hazelwood, Missouri. We offer early childhood education for children ranging from baby, infant, toddler, children, and kids for preschool, kindergarten, and school age child education (1st grade - 6th grade). In 1999, ASA Christian Academy (formerly Alphabet Soup Academy) opened its preschool in Black Jack with just four students. Since then, we have grown to house 105 students. At the request of our parents, we have expanded to a Hazelwood location that can house over 200 students from the age of two years through the sixth grade.
