Educational Programs from Age 2 through 12th Grade:

Early Childhood Education:

- Early Years (age 2 years by July 1)
- Preschool (age 3 years by July 1)
- Prekindergarten (age 4 years by July 1)

At the Pembroke Hill early childhood school, we believe passionately that learning should be an adventure. Your child’s experience is bounded only by his or her imagination and dreams. Our curriculum is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education, which encourages young children and their teachers to explore, question and discover in a stimulating environment. Children express interests and ideas, research for further information, reflect on the experience and form conclusions. Through this process, children develop confidence and independence with encouragement from parents, teachers and community members.

Lower School (Kindergarten - 5th Grade):
Our lower school students in kindergarten through fifth grade experience an educational environment that focuses on their social, emotional and academic needs and recognizes their individual learning styles. Our classrooms feature two experienced educators (a lead teacher and a faculty assistant) who use a multitude of teaching methods, extensive classroom materials and technology to support students as they go about their work. Extracurricular activities and clubs are offered before and after school. Many of our students play on athletic teams sponsored by our Parents Association Sports Council.

Middle School (6th - 8th Grade):
The Pembroke Hill middle school is committed to educational excellence. We recognize each student’s unique gifts, and our program enables students to explore and develop their full intellectual, physical and emotional potential. Our academic and extracurricular programs also provide students with a wide range of experiences that develop critical thinking skills, foster a global perspective and strengthen character. Students are part of a peer group that values academic challenge.

Upper School (9th - 12th Grade):
The Pembroke Hill upper school curriculum is comprehensive and encompasses a full complement of courses in English, social studies, science, mathematics, languages, computer science, the fine arts and physical education. This curriculum has been carefully planned to fulfill our mission as a college preparatory school while serving the individual needs of our students.
