Alliance Francaise de Chicago:Alliance Francaise de Chicago offers French classes and cultural activities. Founded in 1897, we are one of Chicago's oldest cultural and educational institutions. We are a gathering place for people interested in all aspects of France and French speaking cultures. Each year we welcome more than 2,700 students, both adults and children, into our classrooms. As a school, we offer a wide and varied curriculum, from French language courses, to classes specializing in history, culture and business. As a cultural center, we sponsor or co-sponsor approximately 30 programs a year, all open to the public. Come and discover all we have to offer.

Focus Language is a well-established language school located in Chicago, Illinois that offers French language courses to beginner, intermediate and advanced students. Jean-Paul Setlak, the director and program designer is a talented linguist who speaks and teaches French and other languages including Spanish, English, Mandarin, Italian, Hindi and Punjabi. The school creates a safe and enjoyable environment where students can progress rapidly. Emphasis is placed on empowering the students and bringing them immediately to express themselves in their new language. We offer small groups and individual classes as part of intensive and easy-pace programs. Whether we teach individuals or corporate students, our course scheduling is always flexible enough to accommodate busy individuals. Instituto Cervantes of Chicago, Illinois is a non-profit Spanish language school in the Magnificent Mile area of Downtown Chicago. Supported by the Government of Spain, we offer a wide range of Spanish language courses at beginner to advanced levels for adults and children (ages 6-13). The Instituto is the organization of reference around the world for the teaching training of Spanish as a second language, with more than 11,000 enrollments a year. Loyola University Chicago’s English as a Second Language (ESL) Program offers a rigorous, intensive language training program for people who are serious about learning English. With a progressive curriculum and 18 contact hours per week, the ESL Program is ideal for non-native English speakers preparing for undergraduate or graduate academic work in the United States. Students receive support from experienced language instructors and enhance their English skills as a result of superior training and hands-on learning opportunities. ESL courses are offered during the regular academic year and in the summer. The ESL Program is also able to customize courses for groups who have particular language learning goals and needs.
Loyola's ESL Program offers four levels of courses ranging from academic beginner, low intermediate, high intermediate, to advanced. A sample list of courses includes: Composition & Grammar, Business English, TOEFL Preparation, Reading & Vocabulary, Lecture Preparation, and American English Pronunciation.
