Unique Curriculum:
In building my curriculum, I have developed a unique and proven formula that incorporates these principals. In the end, a fast, easy, fun and effective way to study and learn French – in full immersion, regardless of your level of proficiency or your particular motivation. Total immersion is used during the class, which means that French only is spoken in class to keep the brain tuned to that language during the whole lesson. I avoid using translation, unless occasionally necessary. You then adopt a “French” personality and get back into it at the beginning of each class.

French for Children:
Culture is part of learning a language. We use authentic French and Francophone material as often as possible. With children, I sing songs that I learned as a child and play games I enjoyed playing with my friends. When we learn animals’ names, we also learn the sounds they make, which surprisingly are different! Learning a second language at a young age is cognitively as easy as learning a first language.

Exposing your child to a second language young allows a child to optimize his or her learning potential, helping to shape the brain at its most flexible stage. Young children are uniquely suited to learning a second language naturally. A young learner can access a second language separately, without having to translate or go through the native language as a path. Young children learn French quickly and effortlessly and their vocabulary retention capabilities are very high.

French for Teens:
For older children and teens, vocabulary, verbs and expressions are at the core of the program and presented through themes such as The House, Transportation, Health and Body parts, the Weather and the Calendar, Clothing, Food and Stores, Destinations, etc. A variety of games such as bingo, memory games, tic-tac-toe, Red Light/Green Light, Duck Duck Goose, French games and others are a great and exciting way to learn new vocabulary and to retain it. Some French books are being read and a variety of worksheets are also done in class. I observe traditions and point out cultural differences and similarities.

French for Adults:
I adapt my teaching to what works best for each student, using a variety of material. I use a combination of written material, visuals, oral repetition, and total physical response. I work on vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing, conversation, and, of course, pronunciation. The curriculum for adults covers all the basics and is also presented by theme to make the retention greater. I am quick to teach you how to express yourself in the present, future and past tense.
