Photo of School for Kids with Learning Difficulties in MALandmark's curriculum starts with our students. Students are grouped by ability, rather than traditional grade levels and move steadily through a carefully planned curriculum that allows them to build confidence and experience success.

The Elementary Program:
Ages: 7-10 / Grades: 2-5 / Class Size: 6 students
The Elementary Program students are assigned to a small group of six students and matched to one teacher for their academic day. The group stays together for classes in:
- Language Arts
- Oral Expression/Literature
- Science
- Social Studies
(Math classes are grouped separately according to each student's needs).

Elementary Program students receive a daily one-to-one Language Arts tutorial specifically attuned to diagnosed needs in the areas of reading, spelling, writing and handwriting. Elementary Program electives include arts and crafts, physical education, woodworking, computers, and small engine repair.

The Middle School Program:
Ages: 10-14 / Grades: 6-8 / Class Size: 4-8 students
Students in our Middle School Program receive a daily one-to-one Language Arts Tutorial, as well as a schedule of small group classes including:
- Language Arts
- Math
- Science
- Social Studies
- Auditory/Oral Expression/Literature/Study Skills

Middle School Program electives include physical education, art, computers, woodworking, and small engine repair.

High School Program:
The core curriculum covers the traditional subjects:
- Math
- Social Sciences
- Science
- Language
- Arts
- Oral Expression

As well as study skills and electives. Classes are limited to no more than eight (8) students and skills are taught in every classroom. Computer technology is also integrated across the entire curriculum.

Loop Abroad LLC
Courses / Programs
LOOP Abroad is an exclusive study abroad summer program for high school students between the ages of 15 and 18. We spend 2 days in Boston, MA before leaving for Thailand.

This summer's program is focused on ecology and conservation, and will take place in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Chiang Mai offers a chance to explore authentic Thai culture and fantastically diverse national parks, while still having modern amenities and world-class health facilities close at hand. Twenty students will live with eight faculty in a private hostel in a gated community.

During the day, the group will explore national parks, mountains, rain forests, and caves, and will publish their findings in an online wiki. Thai language classes, visits to city sites, yoga classes, and other cultural activities fill the rest of our weekdays. Faculty will help students to compose college essays about their experiences. A leadership curriculum is offered.

On the weekends, we head to activities like zip-lining, the tiger nursery, go-karts, the rooftop pool, thai cooking, and Muay Thai.. Highlights include a week living at the Elephant Nature Park and a four-day trek, staying overnight with the Karen Hill Tribe people.

The Teddy Bear Club, Newton
Courses / Programs
The Teddy Bear Club Preschool and Kindergarten located in Newton, Middlesex County, MA, has an international flavor not only because of its French atmosphere and culture, but also thanks to the diversity of students who attend the program. We cater for children from Newton, Aubumdale, Waban, Chestnut Hill, Nonantum and surrounding communities. Over one hundred and fifty students constitute the Teddy Bear Club’s student body.

While at least seventy percent of our students are American, many families come from various parts of the world such as: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru and Russia. Our programs focus on the development of the whole child by enhancing the child\'s cognitive, physical, social and emotional skills. Children explore their world through active play, use of manipulatives, strong academic programming and nurturing guidance. They participate in well-organized, structured, bilingual learning experiences designed to stimulate and promote curiosity, imagination and independence.
Bilingual (French/ English) preschool and kindergarten programs:

The Young Artist Residency Program (YAR) at The Art Institute of Boston (AIB) at Lesley University in Boston, MA is designed for high school students who will be entering their junior or senior year in the Fall.

This intensive summer art residency program consists of 4 weeks of classes, and art-making is designed to offer a professional art college experience.

Strengthen your portfolio and become the artist you were meant to be through our Young Artist Residency program. Learn the high-tech side of art-making by gaining experience with state-of-the-art computer software and hardware. Students select their own courses, build their own schedules and are in classes Monday through to Friday.

Students live in Lesley University residence halls, minutes from Harvard Square in Cambridge and study art with college professors and graduates of AIB in our Boston studios, just across the Charles River. Discover Boston, a beautiful world-class city rich in history, the arts, nearby beaches, and consistently ranked number one in the "Big City College Towns".

While living on campus, weekend and evening activities are organized to highlight the historic and cultural significance of Boston.
