Elementary Program (1st – 5th Grade)
The Frostig School elementary program is for 1st – 6th graders. Our program is primarily self-contained with students remaining with their classroom teacher throughout the day.
During the week, students go to Electives classes (i.e. art, music, drama, computer lab or library) as a group and also participate in our physical education program five days a week.
Middle School Program (6th- 8th Grade)
Our middle school program covers the 6th – 8th grades. While the classes in this program are departmentalized, the majority of subjects are taught by the homeroom teacher.
For electives and physical education classes, our students are taught by different specialized teachers and instructors, and are inter-mixed across the homeroom classes. Students will receive grades every nine weeks and final grades are issued at the end of each semester.
High School Program (9th - 12th Grade)
Our high school program is for students in grades 9 – 12 and is departmentalized. Some secondary students are enrolled in courses which are focused on more traditional academics while other students enroll in courses which emphasize applied academics.
Each high school student is assigned a homeroom. Students receive progress grades every nine weeks, and final grades are issued at the end of each semester. The report cards reflect progress in the curriculum as evidenced by the completion of class and homework assignments, with grades being based upon performance at the student's instructional level.
