Oakland Collegiate School:
Situated in Port Gibson in Claiborne County, Mississippi, Oakland Collegiate School (OCS) is an independent Christian boarding school for boys in grades 7-12 from throughout the U.S. and around the world. We provide a high-quality college preparatory curriculum which is defined by its biblical worldview.

Educational Programs for Middle School & High School Boys (Grades 7-12)

College Preparatory Curriculum with Biblical Worldview:
At Oakland Collegiate, we remove the distractions that many high school students face, so that students are better able to focus on their studies. Our program is a college preparatory curriculum that fulfills requirements for any standard college or university.

The rigorous academic training provided by OCS ensures that every one of our gstudent who graduates from our program is well prepared for higher education. The curriculum includes a Bible unit each year, and advanced classes are offered in subjects such as math and literature.

OCS’ small boarding program, teacher-student ratio, and appropriate use of technology make for real 1-to-1, differentiated instruction. Teaching and learning take place inside and outside “traditional” classrooms.

Boys who are fast learners have the opportunity to take Dual Enrollment courses for greater challenge and better university preparation. Academically, boys who are capable-but-behind are motivated to catch up.

Optional Military Program:
Develop leadership skills through the voluntary military structure! This program provides additional opportunities for challenge, teamwork, accountability, and achievement; the OCS Corps of Cadets will be selected from among those boys who desire this special training experience.

Our military structure allows you the chance to be a leader among your peers, as you rise through the ranks and earn badges and command positions.

Adventure Summer School:
A great way to gain academic credit in a camp-like setting with opportunities for many outdoor activities.

Adventure Summer Camp (for rising 6-8 Graders)
Camping in our 70-acre wilderness facility, this is a week-long adventure experience. The boys will have time for fishing, sharing meals around a campfire, playing paintball and other competitive games. Campers will go off campus for bowling.

Athletic Programs:
The physical development program uses best practices to help boys gain improved health and coordination, and increased stamina, strength, and confidence.

Active learning, physical training, varsity and intramural sports, and a variety of outdoor activities help boys during the growth spurts of adolescence. We emphasize sports in which boys can continue to participate throughout their lives, such as swimming, golf, tennis, fishing, and hunting.
