Residential / Boarding School for Boys (Grades 7-12)Academic Overview
Through its philosophy, admissions policy, curriculum, and facilities, St. Stanislaus College strives to create an atmosphere for holistic learning and self-growth.
This atmosphere provides each student the opportunity to realize his potential and to develop the healthy attitudes and responsible behavior that will permit him to pursue continued studies and to assume his place in society as a concerned Christian gentleman, a Man of Character.
St. Stanislaus College conducts a junior high program (7th - 8th grades) and a four-year high school program (9th - 12th grades). Students must complete four years of high school studies in order to graduate.
The curriculum is primarily college preparatory. Because of the wide variety of interests, needs and abilities found among students, the curriculum is regularly evaluated and revised. Honor courses are available to challenge intellectually gifted students.
An Academic Assistance Program is available to students who have been diagnosed with a learning difference. A full-time English as a Second Language (ESL) Program and a 4 week ESL Camp are available for international students.
In establishing its curriculum, St. Stanislaus strives to provide educational opportunities that will enhance the growth and development of all its students. In order to encourage students to work to their fullest potential, to use their talents most effectively and to give themselves the broadest possible education, St. Stanislaus College encourages each student to plan his own academic schedule with the assistance of his teachers, his guidance counselor and his parents. The student is guided in developing his future plans and in assuming responsibility for meeting his goals.
Offerings are designed, within budgetary constraints, to permit a student to elect courses that are within his range of ability and interest. In the areas of English, Modern Languages, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies, courses are available to meet a broad scope of student needs.
A Fine Arts program encourages the student to develop his musical and artistic abilities. Business, Computer Education, Physical Education, and Religion programs promote the formation of a well-rounded, well-informed individual.
Honor's Program
In order to encourage each student to work to his fullest potential, to use his talents more effectively, and to give himself a broader education, St. Stanislaus provides an Honors Program for students in grades ten through twelve. A student who successfully completes the Honors Program will be so designated at graduation and awarded a St. Stanislaus Honors Diploma.
