Behavior Modifcation: Our behavior modification program is based on accountability, responsibility, and respect. Boys are expected to treat staff and peers with respect and in return they can expect to be treated with respect.
Staff members are trained to apply consequences and provide feedback for students in a respectful manner without demeaning or belittling the adolescent.
Academics: Agape Boarding School provides a college preparatory program that will prepare each boy for his chosen vocation in life. Our school helps your son to achieve an academic level of skill so that he may receive the credits needed for his diploma.
This program serves both the student of high academic ability through an accelerated progression to college-level courses, as well as the student of more modest abilities through a flexible curriculum that allows the time for mastery of fundamental concepts and skills.
As part of our curriculum students study English, social studies, economics, math, science, bible and electives including speech, music, foreign languages and physical education.
Learning Center: Our Learning Center accommodates 180 students, with room to add more desks as needed for new students. We have a computer lab where the students can take their spelling tests and work on their foreign language classes. Ranch Program: We have recently begun a ranch program for students that are interested in working with animals. From grooming horses to feeding water buffalo, caring for alpacas, or just enjoying looking at the animals, we have enough work for those students who are interested in agriculture and ranching.
Two barns house the materials needed and provide space for newborn animals. We recently finished two barns and are currently working on a riding arena, which will be finished as funds allow.
Athletics: We have a new basketball gymnasium with two separate workout areas on campus allowing our boys all opportunites to stay fit and healthy.
For outdoor events Agape has a swimming pool and a multi-use field with a baseball diamond in the southeast section. Students are able to play intramural flag football, soccer, and baseball during free time.
