Bergen Community College is a public two-year coeducational college in Bergen County, New Jersey. We offer Associate of Fine Arts and Associate of Applied Science degree programs and certificate courses in music technology, music business, and a strong applied music program offering private instruction and the opportunity to perform in ensembles.

Most music courses are offered on our main campus in Paramus,, New Jersey. Paramus is a suburb of New York City, located in the Northeastern-most county in New Jersey with New York State bordering to the North and New York City across the George Washington Bridge to the East. Bergen Community College is accessible by bus from New York's Port Authority bus station.

The Institute of Audio Research (IAR) is located in New York City, close to the vibrant Greenwich Village and Union Square. We provide a complete education in audio engineering and music production, combining a broad background with hands-on experience. Our audio engineering and music production diploma curriculum is crafted by faculty members who are deeply involved in music and audio. IAR’s rolling admissions places students in classes that begin throughout the year, so you don’t have to wait long to start training for your future. The program can be completed in approximately nine months by a full-time student and in approximately a year by a part-time student at night. We believe the key to a valuable education in music production is a command of the fundamental concepts of sound. Jersey City Art School at the Thomas John Carlson Art Studio in downtown Jersey City is a visual art school offering classes taught by local artists, weekly figure drawing sessions and lectures by artists showing locally. The Jersey City Art School was founded in November, 2009 by Thomas John Carlson. The first classes that were offered were: Introduction to Painting and Drawing and Introduction to Stained Glass.
