The Henderson International School:
The Henderson International School, located in Henderson (part of the greater Las Vegas valley), Nevada, is an independent, co-ed, non-sectarian school offering pre-school through twelfth grade college preparatory programs. Henderson International School’s strong and traditional college preparatory academic course offerings are complemented by enrichment offerings in Athletics, Theater Arts, Music, Visual and Graphic Arts, Computer Science, and other offerings. The Henderson International School is a member of the National Independent Private Schools Association (NIPSA), the Educational Records Bureau (ERB), and a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. The school is approved by the State of Nevada Private School Licensing Board. Academically, all students are required to take courses in history, literature and composition, mathematics, laboratory sciences, and foreign language every year that they are enrolled at Henderson International. Concurrently, students will be involved with a wide variety of co-curricular offerings including music, art, digital media, and physical education. In addition, Upper School students may participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities including team sports, student government, band, chorus, and theater. Our Elementary after-school activities include jazz, ballet, gymnastics, choir, baking, chess, karate and piano.

Pre-School:
Our preschool provides an organized, cumulative learning experience suited to each child's own maturity level and developmental timeline. Through a variety of enriching activities, each child grows cognitively, socially, emotionally, creatively and physically under the watchful guidance of caring educators

Lower School:
Elementary School Curriculum (Junior Kindergarten – Grade 4)
Our elementary schools foundation of knowledge consists of a warm, caring, exciting environment where students can learn and grow. Our programs include junior kindergarten (all day), kindergarten (all day), and first through fourth grade.

Middle School:
Our Middle School is organized to accommodate the academic and social needs of students who have the ability and motivation to succeed in a pre-collegiate curriculum. Classes are organized in modified, self-contained units to ease the transition from an elementary to a high school program. Beyond the classroom, students explore and develop their talents in other areas through a full menu of athletics, music, and the arts.

High School:
High school students begin their college preparatory academic program by taking core courses in English, math, history, science and a foreign language. As students progress beyond the ninth grade, those with exceptional abilities in various academic areas will be challenged by the Honors/Advanced Placement courses. All high school students use laptop computers on our wireless network to produce the highest quality work. A wide range of athletic, travel, and extra-curricular activities allows students to develop their leadership, teamwork, and artistic abilities both on campus and within the larger community.
