El Taller, New York:
El Taller Latino Americano, (The Latin American Workshop) is a non-profit cultural arts center on Manhattan's Upper West Side in New York - a space alive with color, sound, movement, and creativity - music, art and language converge to educate and entertain. We offer a year-round after-school Spanish language immersion program for children ages 4 to 13 years, covering thematic units that include games, short stories, songs (including songs written by our founder for bilingual Sesame Street episodes), drama, dance, puppetry, and music with an emphasis on auditory learning.
El Taller's Spanish Language School offers high-quality classes at all levels to encourage cross-cultural dialogue in our community. We have taught many schools and corporations. Happy Clients include Children's Television Workshop and the New York Public Library who entrusted El Taller with the Spanish language training of their staff.
Teaching Techniques:
Our program follows an introduction of basic expressions, greetings, commands, numbers, colors, family members, parts of the body, and everyday objects. The course reinforces vocabulary and integrate the various themes with songs and cultural activities.
El Taller's expert team of teachers are also professional artists and musicians who fuse El Taller's 30-year-strong language method with unique games and activities that will excite and enrich your child. Fusing art, music, and drama, our native Spanish speakers will guide your child in a full cultural immersion that blends our successful Spanish of the Americas methodology with dynamic fun!
