Kids complete an online assessment of 8 key reading and math skills, and then work independently and at their own pace through over 3,000 award winning lessons and activities. K5 Learning was founded by parents who wanted better learning tools available to their kids for home use. In 2010 we licensed the very best reading and math software, used in hundreds of schools, from leading U.S. education companies. K5 Learning is formed from the combination of this award winning software.
The lessons are animated, interactive and simple enough that even a 4 year old can use them by himself. The system automatically chooses lessons for students (based on their assessment and past lessons), tracks student progress and provides reports for parents.
Our content is award-winning, comprehensive and has been used by thousands of students. The curricula is research-based and aligned with national standards.We personalize our program to each child’s skills, not their age or grade level. Kids don’t watch our lessons, they interact with them. Interactivity, immediate feedback and positive reinforcement put K5 Learning miles ahead of traditional worksheets and workbooks.
K5 Learning includes 4 modules:
- K5 Math (curricula based lessons)
- K5 Math Facts (an adaptive program for developing instant recall in math facts)
- K5 Reading (curricula based lessons)
- K5 Spelling (an advanced spelling and vocabulary tutor)
The program is most effective when used with a regular schedule of at least 2 study sessions per week. Most families use K-5 between 2-4 times per week, though many kids use it on a daily basis. Frequent study sessions are better than longer ones.
