Vivace Theatre School, Glasgow:
Vivace Theatre School is a Glasgow based Youth Arts Academy, providing first class training in Acting, Singing, Dance, Musical Theatre, Early Stages Performance and Drama School Audition Preparation for young people aged 2-18yrs. We run exciting performing arts term-time courses, summer schools and education projects in nursery, primary and secondary schools throughout Scotland and since opening in March 2003, have quickly established a reputation for quality, value and above all fun. We firmly believe that young people need ample opportunity to transfer their skills from the classroom onto the stage and for this reason we aim to complete a minimum of two productions with each class per academic year. If you are keen and want to try something new then give us a call. We demand and maintain a high quality of performance from our students but all necessary support and tuition is provided by our committed and enthusiastic staff. We are located near Glasgow Green, Glasgow´s oldest Park.

Drama School Audition Prep Course:
Since opening in March 2003, Vivace Theatre School have been supporting and guiding our students through the highly competitive audition processes and into the colleges of their choice. School drama departments, youth theatres and similar organisations have so many demands on their time and few dedicated opportunities to work with students who wish to progress to full time training in Performing Arts. We are keen to help!

Early Stages:
A fun introduction to performance for students aged 4-7 years. The course includes acting, singing and dance and is taught through a range of activities and games aimed at encouraging participation and developing confidence.

Singing Course:

This course is aimed at those who would like to focus on solo siPhoto of Performing Arts Courses in Glasgow, Scotlandnging and develop their technique and repertoire. Students are divided into small classes of no more than ten persons, all of a similar grade.

Solo singing exams in Musical Theatre and Popular Music are offered annually through the London College of Music. Students studying for Standard Grade or Higher will also be given help choosing their performance programme for the SQA.

Classes 30 minutes long and times vary according to Grade.

Dance:
Students take weekly lessons in Ballet, Tap and Jazz to provide a comprehensive foundation in dance. Students are also given the opportunity to sit annual graded exams in each subject through the British Association of Teachers of Dance.

Acting:
For those students who want to focus specifically on acting, this course allows them to work on scripted, improvised and devised work and looks at the diverse styles and techniques required to tackle such pieces. This is a varied and challenging course which is extremely rewarding and a lot of fun. Actors are given the opportunity to take their graded solo acting exams through the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art annually.

* Senior School (approx age 15-18yrs) 8.00pm-9.30pm

Musical Theatre Course:
Students aged 8-18yrs 6.30pm-9.30pm

Musical Theatre Students undertake three fifty minute classes each evening – one in dance one in acting and one in singing. This course aims to promote versatility and to produce multi skilled performers.
