Our mission is to provide a nurturing, loving and educational environment for the preschool age child. The opportunity is presented for the young child to grow spiritually, emotionally and academically.

We do this through an age-appropriate curriculum that covers Bible stories, music and movement, science, language, art, math and reading readiness. To add variety to our curriculum we have different themes for each week (transportation, feelings, seasons, community helpers, etc.). We also have time set aside each day for learning centers which allow the children to choose their learning environment. Children also have an opportunity for outside play where they can develop their large motor skills.

Elementary and Middle School:
Key subjects include

Language Arts:
This course will include a variety of activities designed to increase the students’ abilities in reading, writing and speaking in preparation for entering high school. Through exercises in process writing, students will learn writing strategies. Creative and critical thinking with a Christian perspective will be stressed during writing and reading.

Math:

Math placement into Abeka covers basic facts and number concepts, place value-up to millions, addition and subtraction, time and measurement, multiplication facts and properties, division facts, geometry, geometry and measurement, fraction concepts, decimals, statistics, graphing, exploring addition and subtraction of fractions, estimation, Roman numerals, story problems, money, factors, averaging.

History:

History covers the period of European exploration and colonization of the Western Hemisphere through recent history. Course content includes: settlement of the Americas, Independence, formation of American government and Constitution, Civil War, World War I, the Depression, WWII, and weekly discussion of current events.

Spanish:

Spanish reinforces previous curriculum at the same time introduces new skills necessary to acquiring a second language. The goal of this course is to develop fundamental skills required to read and write and speak Spanish properly.

Physical Education:
The aim at this level focuses on physical fitness, sports skills, rules, sportsmanship, and understanding concepts of team sports. Students participate in Physical Education twice a week.

Library:
The purpose of this course is to equip middle school students to effectively utilize the Library Media center to find resource materials for research, supplemental learning and pleasure reading. The focus of the library is knowledge, teaching and learning.

Art:
Art classes meet once a week for one semester of the school year as an elective. A variety of projects are assigned focusing on the elements of design, line, color, shape, texture, pattern and repetition. The students are exposed to many types of media, such as paint, crayon, oil, pastel, watercolor, craft materials, etc. Historical and cultural art is integrated into the studio art lessons encompassing the Renaissance Period.

Computer:
This class will give the students an introduction to general technology skills at the elementary level. These skills include but are not limited to competency in the areas of: orientation to the computer, keyboarding, word processing, navigating the internet, and utilizing the computer for learning, presenting, and organizing information.
