About Us
:
At Solid Rock Community School, we recognize that each child has different needs to be addressed and different qualities and strengths they naturally possess. Therefore, we do not believe there is only one way to educate a child. Through kinesthetic learning, reading, writing, and aural and verbal communication, we develop a school year which best accommodates the needs of the student.

Founded in 2004, Solid Rock Community School began on its journey to develop a non-traditional approach to “school” that truly recognizes each student’s individual academic, social, and emotional needs. Our school continues to grow each year in student enrollment and academic offerings. In 2009, Solid Rock Community School relocated to a new facility that offers long-term stability and plenty of space for expansion.

Our Mission:

The mission of Solid Rock Community School is to honor the uniqueness of the students by trusting their natural, God-given abilities, respecting them as individuals, and providing them with educational opportunities in which equal status is given to all pursuits. We provide a learning environment that challenges every student’s intellectual potential, nurtures their personal development, equips them to pursue their goals, and encourages them to be responsible, involved citizens.

Quality Education:
Our dedicated and qualified staff provides a nurturing environment offering quality education and a low teacher-to-student ratio. Embracing diversity of background, culture, personalities, and thought, the school seeks to provide a life-altering opportunity to its students.

Educational Philosophy:

- Solid Rock Community School provides a seamless educational experience as the student progresses from elementary grades through high school.

- Each child is met and addressed where they are individually. The materials and challenges they are given are matched to their ability to ensure success and to provide them with a true sense of joy and accomplishment.

- While learning is natural, instruction must be systematic and intentional. Solid Rock Community School teachers hold high expectations that their students will thrive. They hold themselves responsible for their students’ growth.

- Just as each child develops naturally with regard to their studies, so too is there a natural progression in the way they view themselves and interact with others.

- Our students love to come to school because they are constantly challenged, guided, and loved.
