Great Heights Academy, Kendall:
Situated in The Hammocks, close to Kendall FL, in the Greater Miami-Dade County Area, Great Heights Academy is a special needs school for children in Kindergarten through Grade 6. The school provides services to children with a variety of intellectual and developmental disabilities that may include, but are not limited to intellectual disorders, autism spectrum disorder, pervasive developmental disorder (PDD), Asperger’s, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other conditions associated with intellectual disabilities.

Academic Programs for Children in Grades K-6:
Our students work with a modified curriculum set to their needs. Each child learns at their own pace. We use textbooks from Harcourt and Houghton Mifflin. We also use a lot of hands on manipulatives, visuals, graphic organizers, and whatever else the child needs to reach their individualized academic goals.

Students who are in need of more fine motor assistance will work with the handwriting without tears program.

The Broach School

With 4 locations in the Greater Tampa Bay area, The Broach School is is a private K-12, non-profit special education school for children with specific learning disabilities (SLD) and autism. The Broach School was started in 1973 to meet the ever-increasing need for quality personalized instruction.

Our School was founded to help students who were getting lost in overcrowded classrooms by giving each one the complete, personal attention of their teacher. Today, The Broach School is continuing to reach new heights by helping students overcome learning disabilities and gain confidence in the classroom.

The Broach School models the 1-room schoolhouse method of early American education. Each course is designed to take students from a point of weakness to a point of strength. Students are taught personally in small groups to ensure every student can proceed at their own pace without losing the value of a shared classroom experience.

The Broach School has four locations in the Greater Tampa Bay area in Bradenton, St. Petersburg, Tampa, and Zephyrhills.
