International Students:
Upon arrival on campus, you are directed to your new campus home. It will not look like a dorm because it isn’t. It is a home. Within days, this group of people will feel like a family and then, with the addition of other boarding and day students, an even larger family – a community.
Throughout the student orientation days you will meet new and returning boarding students, local day students, and adults who will help to guide you through the opening days of school. It won’t be long before you feel a connection to MacDuffie and a sense of belonging in your new American home. This connection may last the rest of your life.
Boarding Program:
The Ames Hill Boarding Program primarily comprises non-immigrant international students. Students entering Grade 9 – 12 may apply to live on campus.
Upon acceptance and enrollment, these students are issued an I-20 form allowing them to apply for an F-1 student visa. Students approved for this visa are able to enter the United States for study and return to their home countries during school vacation times.
Within the last few years, Ames Hill students have come from: Austria, Brazil, China, Ethiopia, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Ivory Coast, Jamaica, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Mexico, Norway, Nigeria, Philippines, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, United States, Venezuela, and Vietnam.

Riverview School

Riverview School is a private co-ed boarding school in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, that serves students ages 11-22 with complex language, learning and cognitive disabilities. Located in Putnam, Connecticut, Putnam Science Academy is a private boarding school for boys offering a comprehensive college preparatory program focusing on science, mathematics, and technology. Located in Plymouth County MA, Chamberlain International School is a co-educational therapeutic boarding and day school, serving students ages 11-22 from Massachusetts, across the United States, and throughout the world. We offer college preparatory and general education courses to both middle and high school students.
