Monart Art Studio, Pearland:
Monart Art Studio is located in Pearland, within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area in Brazoria, Fort Bend, and Harris counties, Texas. We offer art and drawing classes for children of three years upwards based on the acclaimed Monart Method. Subjects include basic and intermediate drawing, drawing fundamentals, graphic design, watercolours, cartooning. Monart is more than a method that teaches people how to draw. Leading educators recognize Monart as a teaching system that helps students to focus and concentrate, make decisions, solve problems, sequence and develop hand-eye coordination.

Classes:
Classes generally meet once a week and run continually throughout the academic year organized by terms running approximately 10-12 weeks in length. Our curriculum and projects are designed to present a progressing level of skill and challenge so that students can gain the most out of our program. Our small class size and individualized instruction allows you to join at any time.
Subjects include basic and intermediate drawing, drawing fundamentals, graphic design, watercolours, cartooning.
Preschool Curriculum:
Our preschool curriculum is designed around upon Monart approved book that usually 
begins with reading aloud, followed by a discussion of characters and story. The discussion is followed by specially designed and relatable arts and crafts projects During this time, students work on the project, either individually or in small groups, and discuss their creations. After the project is completed, the children clean up and make sure everything is returned to its proper place.
Children learn the fundamentals of art - color, line, shape, form and texture - by painting and drawing, making collages and fashioning three-dimensional objects out of modeling material. Three and four year olds recognize patterns, learn about colors, gain an understanding of composition, balance, and symmetry and learn how to work independently as well as how to function as part of group.
Camps:
Camps run between the week of June 7th and end the week of August 16th 2010. Camps are 3 hours and include a daily themed Monart drawing lesson. Campers will also create various exciting crafts to bring home! See below for dates, times and ages camps are available. Camps will be divided into age groups 3-4, 5-7 and 8+.
