Silicon Drive Family Center (SDFC) is an early childhood education / day care center for infants through to preschoolers in San Antonio, Bexar County, TX. Silicon Drive Family Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Our accreditation by NAEYC shows that our program meets the 10 NAEYC early childhood program standards. We provide excellent teacher / child ratios (Infants, 1:4; Toddler I, 1:4; Toddler II, 1:6 & Preschool, 1:10). Our curriculum results in a collaborative relationship between teacher and family to promote emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development. We believe that families and our early childhood professionals are partners in promoting a child’s growth and development. It is our mission to provide the highest quality early childhood education for each child. Our goal is to be distinguished as a quality early childhood program. We strive to maintain developmentally appropriate practices in each classroom and ensure that each child’s physical and emotional needs are met.
Our Philosophy:
We believe that in order to meet the needs of each child, they must be provided with an early childhood education that is individualized, respects each family’s culture, provides a safe and healthy environment, and encourages active learning. We strive to provide each child with developmentally appropriate activities that promote cognitive, physical, social / emotional, and language development.
We believe that in order to offer a quality early childhood education it is important that our program follow strict guidelines on education and development. We also believe in the investment of an early childhood education because of its benefits to children and families.
Early Childhood Education / Day Care Programs:
We offer early childhood education / day care programs for infants through to preschoolers with flexible enrolment options available. We have 4 classrooms in total: Infants, Toddler I, Toddler II, and Preschool (six weeks to five years of age) – Children are placed and advance based on development level.
- Creative Curriculum: The primary goal of implementing the Creative Curriculum is to provide each child a developmentally appropriate environment to learn.
- The curriculum provides a teaching tool to enhance teacher skills and knowledge and ultimately improve the program.
- It is our objective to provide a high quality early childhood education for your child.
Professional Staff:
To ensure that each child receives the guidance they deserve, we have high standards and teacher qualification requirements. We are extremely selective of our staff and make sure they are degreed, certified, or currently attending an Early Childhood Education program at an accredited college or university. We currently employ a staff of 7 full time teachers and 5 part time teachers.
At present, 90% of full time teaching staff have a B.A. in Education or a closely related field and a majority of part time teachers are currently enrolled in college. Our teachers were carefully selected for their educational background, early childhood training, teaching experience and sensitivity to the individual needs of the young child.

Located in McAllen, part of the McAllen–Edinburg–Mission Metropolitan Statistical Area in Hidalgo County, Texas and with more than 300 locations throughout the US and 20 other countries, The Little Gym offers dance, gymnastics, sport skills development, cheerleading, karate classes and birthday party events for infants, tots and young children from four months to twelve years. New School in the Heights, Houston

Located in the Houston Heights area just north of Downtown Houston TX, The New School in the Heights is a private, special needs school for K-8th Grade children with ADHD, OCD, Asperger's, learning disabilities, Dyslexia, Sensory Integration, selective mutism, reactive attachment disorder (RAD) and other diagnoses where children struggle with social-emotional issues. Although we are not exclusively a private school for gifted children, many of our students are gifted and talented as G/T children tend to struggle with emotions they have not yet learned to manage.
