Welcome to English Language Training Banbury, located in Banbury, Oxfordshire, South East England, 60 miles (95 km) north west of London. Study in a traditional English market town located in the middle of the "golden triangle" (Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick) and in the beautiful Cotswolds region. Students from around the world come to ELT Banbury to study and learn English as a foreign language (EFL) in a welcoming and friendly environment and groups of up to 8 students. Banbury is a great place to be located within the centre of England and situated in the middle of the golden triangle. Banbury is 38 miles southeast of Birmingham, 27 miles south of Coventry and 21 miles northwest of the county town of Oxford.The points of this triangle being Oxford, Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon. Banbury has the advantage of being close enough to all three towns to visit, but isolated enough to retain it’s own character and feel. Students can visit the historic town of Stratford and bask in the glory and literacy of the home of William Shakespeare, they can also visit Warwick and it’s imposing medieval castle, or take a trip to Oxford to wander the grounds of one of the world’s oldest and best universities. Located in the area is also the Formula 1 track, Silverstone.
Active students can make use of the two well equipped sports centres in Banbury or spend time playing golf or cricket. In the local villages it is also possible to go horse riding. The small local shops and the shopping precinct offering famous British brands are an ideal place to go shopping in the afternoons. Afterwards students can have a meal in one of many restaurants in Banbury offering a selection of dishes from all over the world. Banbury also has a good train connection with London and the most important airports: London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Birmingham International.
