London College of Accountancy:
London College of Accountancy, based in the borough of Southwark in the centre of London, is a professional training college offering a full range of undergraduate & graduate accountancy and management courses, run by an experienced team of lecturers. MBA International - Master of Business Administration International:
Course length: 12 months, 18 months and 24 months
LCA now offers three postgraduate business administration programmes from Anglia Ruskin University: the MBA International, and the Postgraduate Diploma and Certificate programmes. The Postgraduate Certificate and the Postgraduate Diploma are both qualifications in their own right and progression stages towards an MBA.
These postgraduate programmes cover four main themes:
- Finance
- Marketing
- Human Resource ManagementCourse entry requirements
- Strategy
Entry Requirements:
- have the equivalent of a UK first degree or professional qualification and appropriate work experience to benefit from the chosen course.
- have previously been taught in English and have sufficient command of English to undertake a postgraduate study course with an I.E.L.T.S. score of 6.5 or better OR
- have sufficient managerial work experience to benefit from the chosen course.
Undergraduate Access Course:
The Anglia Ruskin University Access Course is designed to provide students who do not have the required academic qualification with an entry route to the University’s degree courses run at LCA. Successful completion of the Access Course also gives students the opportunity to be considered for entry to the undergraduate courses at the University’s Business School.
BA (Honours) Applied Accounting (Anglia Ruskin University):
This degree has been designed to offer flexible, intellectually stimulating courses for those with an interest in becoming an accountant after graduation.
BA (Honours) Applied Public Finance and Accounting:
This degree has been designed for those with an interest in becoming an accountant after graduation and who wish to get a career in the public sector. It shares 10 common papers with the Applied Accounting degree but has two additional papers with a strong public sector accounting emphasis.
BA (Honours) International Business Management:
This degree has been designed for those who aspire to work in a managerial role after graduation and provides in-depth coverage of core management areas including accounting, law, governance and information management.
ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants ):
LCA offers a diverse range of course options for ACCA students, including full-time, part-time (evening, weekend, day release) and revision. The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants is one of the world's leading accountancy organisations. Its members are internationally recognised in public practice, industry, commerce and the public sector. ACCA membership also allows you to obtain status as a Registered Auditor.
ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales):
The Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification, offered by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW), is recognised around the world as a top level financial business qualification. With over 127,000 members, ICAEW is Europe's largest professional accountancy body.
CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants):
For those who wish to further a career in financial and business management, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification is ideal. Recognised and respected throughout the world, the CIMA qualification offers you the opportunity to develop not only accountancy skills, but also key decision making, management, strategic and analytical skills.
CAT (Certified Accounting Technician ):
The Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification is structured and examined by ACCA (see ACCA section for further details about ACCA), and offers you the opportunity to further your career options. In studying for the CAT qualification, you may wish to start a career in finance, gain recognition for the skills you have already developed in accountancy or accelerate your progression to the ACCA professional scheme. CAT is the stepping stone for all of these aims. It also seeks to help you develop the skills needed for successful study in higher education.
