Global Village Career Training Centre offer TEFL / TESOL certification courses in the heart of the cosmopolitan Yaletown District of Vancouver, BC, Canada. We are affiliated with Global Village English Centre - an English language school in Vancouver offering English courses to students from around the world. We offer full-time, intensive TESOL diploma courses which are primarily designed for intermediate / advanced ESL students who want to teach English as a second language in their home countries in classroom settings.

8 week / 160-hour GV TESOL Diploma + Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT):
This full-time, intensive program is primarily designed for Intermediate - Advanced ESL learners interested in teaching English to adult learners in classroom settings in their own country. The program includes interactive methodology sessions, observation opportunities, peer teaching, and a supervised practicum (teacher practice) with low-level adult ESL learners under the guidance of highly experienced Cambridge-certified teacher trainers. The program also includes preparation for the University of Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT).

Successful participants will receive a GV TESOL Diploma as well as University of Cambridge TKT certification.

Minimum English Level: IELTS 5.0; TOEFL 490; TOEIC 550

10 week / 210-hour GV TESOL Diploma with a 2-week Young Learners (YL) Extension:
This 10-week intensive program is primarily designed for Intermediate / Advanced ESL learners interested in teaching English to adult learners and / or young learners in their own country in classroom settings. The course includes methodology sessions and a practicum (teaching practice). The Young Learners Module is a teacher training course that provides participants with the basic knowledge and skills needed to teach ESL to children. Successful participants will receive a GV TESOL with Young Learners Extension Diploma as well as University of Cambridge TKT Certification.

Minimum English Level: IELTS 5.0; TOEFL 490; TOEIC 550

Greystone College offers a 12-week TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) Diploma course in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Our TESOL certification program is recognized by TESL Canada. The objective of our teacher training program is to provide trainees with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be successful ESL/EFL teachers. The course is open to Canadian and international students.

Students who successfully complete this program may apply for TESL Canada’s Professional Standard Two certification, provided they meet language and education requirements. They will also have the option to take the internationally-recognized Cambridge University TKT exam which is a test from Cambridge ESOL about teaching English to speakers of other languages.

Each student will observe 10 or more hours of ESL classes, will spend time with a mentor teacher, and will teach their own class for at least 10 hours as their final practicum, under the supervision of a sponsor teacher. Our TESOL course focuses on a high degree of interaction between instructor and students.
