Welcome to the Dunham Institute. We´re a small, friendly and intimate language school based in the idyllic location of Chiapa de Corzo, the oldest town in the rural state of Chiapas in Mexico. We provide affordable opportunities to the families of the local community to learn English from native speakers, creating a comfortable, enjoyable learning environment with a small dedicated team. We also use these classes to provide TEFL training and hands-on authentic teaching experience for those wishing to begin a career teaching abroad.
TEFL Certificate
Benefits of our program include:
* Small class sizes of a maximum of 6 people, giving you customised, personal attention
* Over 60 hours observing novice and experienced teachers

Included in the course fee in addition to tuition:

* If you are unsure about the nature of a career in teaching, you will be able to try it out over a short period of time before committing to a standard teaching contract of a year or more
Please note:
* This course requires an 8 week commitment: the first 4 weeks for the TEFL course and a subsequent 4 weeks of volunteer teaching
* As for the standard TEFL course , homestay with a local family is included
* All teaching locations are with in walking distance of your homestay and the Dunham Institute.
