100% Distance Learning/SISTEMA ABIERTO:
On-campus classes are not required and there is no need to interrupt present career or employment. Students enrolled in the Associate Degrees and the Masters Degree in TESOL Programs are given assignments for the entire trimester, and at the end of this period, they hand in their assignments and projects. Students who require their Teachers Diploma can obtain it in as short as a 6-week period.
Our Degree Programs are designed to meet the educational needs of students whose responsibilities make it difficult to attend on-site lectures and other commonly-required academic activities. Students at the College study at their own pace and in their free time in the privacy and comfort of their home or office.

IH Riviera Maya provides CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) courses in the centre of Playa del Carmen, just south of Cancún in the north-east of Quintana Roo, on Mexico's idyllic Caribbean coast. The CELTA course provides you with the basic skills and knowledge necessary for a career in TEFL / TESOL, and is run in collaboration with IH Barcelona, one of Europe's leading training centres for English language teachers.There are direct flights from most major cities to Cancun International Airport which is just 60 km (40 miles) north of Playa del Carmen.
The CELTA is a common requirement for those entering the field of ELT (English language teaching). Recognised internationally, it is a popular credential among people who wish to travel and teach English worldwide. However, it is also held by people who intend to teach only in the country where they trained, and do not intend to travel.

Global Vision International
Courses / Programs
The GVI 100-hour TEFL course is offered in Tulum, Mexico and Phang Nga, Thailand. The GVI TEFL course was written to train people interested in sustainable development and conservation. The goal is to prepare people to teach in communities which are developing rapidly in response to tourism and assist local people in accessing the revenue in their own community, thereby participating more fully in the changes happening in their own community. While the focus is on teaching oral English with few resources in remote communities, the course prepares teachers well for teaching in different contexts anywhere in the world. The course runs Mon-Thurs., with cultural and environmental activities and projects on Fridays. The course fee includes shared accommodation and food for a full 5 weeks, plus cultural activities, excursions, and a first-aid course.
100-hour TEFL Certificate Course - The TEFL course is run within a 5 or 10-week teaching and community development expedition. Participants take part in conservation and cultural activities, weekend excursions, Spanish and Mayan language classes, and a basic first aid course. Participants live in shared accommodation.
TESOL International Mexico
