Most of our students are already employed in their own career field and do not have the time nor the resources to attend school on a daily basis. With technology available today, students are now able to study at home in their spare time at their own pace without the pressure of daily attendance and homework assignments. Students are able to pursue the teaching of English as a very rewarding profession.Our mission is to provide affordable and of the highest quality teacher training and development. Our courses are registered with the Secretary of Labor Government of Mexico.
How does it work?
Students can enroll year round. For the Teachers TESOL Certification, the student receives all the materials needed--2 textbooks, 2 PDF manuals, one audio cd, one dvd, one cd rom. The student also receives the pdf study guides to the final examination, the date and time of the exam.
The student begins studying at home focusing major efforts on the study guide and thus preparing for the final examination. A student can ask as many questions regarding instructions as he wishes via e-mail. Questions are sent in English and our academic consultants respond in English.
Materials for the Associate Degree and the Masters Degree are not included. Students obtain their textbooks from local libraries and internet bookstores.

Global Vision International
Courses / Programs
The GVI 100-hour TEFL course is offered in Tulum, Mexico and Phang Nga, Thailand. The GVI TEFL course was written to train people interested in sustainable development and conservation. The goal is to prepare people to teach in communities which are developing rapidly in response to tourism and assist local people in accessing the revenue in their own community, thereby participating more fully in the changes happening in their own community. While the focus is on teaching oral English with few resources in remote communities, the course prepares teachers well for teaching in different contexts anywhere in the world. The course runs Mon-Thurs., with cultural and environmental activities and projects on Fridays. The course fee includes shared accommodation and food for a full 5 weeks, plus cultural activities, excursions, and a first-aid course.
100-hour TEFL Certificate Course - The TEFL course is run within a 5 or 10-week teaching and community development expedition. Participants take part in conservation and cultural activities, weekend excursions, Spanish and Mayan language classes, and a basic first aid course. Participants live in shared accommodation.

TESOL International Mexico is located in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, one of the most welcoming and hospitable towns in Mexico, in the highlands of the southern Mexican state of Chiapas. The TESOL International Mexico four-week TESOL/TEFL certified teacher training course consists of 120 hours of practical and theoretical input, observation of experienced teachers, supervised self-directed study and reflection and hands-on teaching practice.
