The University of Nottingham Ningbo China was opened by The University of Nottingham in 2004. The University is located in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, just a two hour drive from Shanghai. Ningbo has recently been ranked as the 7th best city for business in China and boasts a population of over five million. The University offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, taught entirely in English. These courses are conducted with the same teaching and evaluation as our campus in Nottingham UK. Students are awarded a University of Nottingham, UK degree, but also have the additional opportunity to experience China and learn Chinese Language.
The University offers students a unique opportunity to gain a top UK degree and first-hand experience of China. Knowledge of China is becoming an increasing desire among employers, yet the number of students which tick this box, is limited.
The University of Nottingham was recently ranked in the top 10 UK universities and the top 1% worldwide (QS World Rankings 2012). The University's degree certificates were also regarded as equal 25th in the world based on employer reputation (QS World Rankings - Employer Reputation - 2012).

The University of Nottingham (Ningbo China) is located in Ningbo, a city in East China, two and a half hours by road from Shanghai. It also holds the second largest port in the world and therefore attracts a large number of international investment.
Ningbo offers a mix of international modernism and distinct Chinese traditions and features. The University is located only 20 minutes from the city centre, in a leafy suburb housing four other universities.
