Tsinghua University:
Tsinghua University located in the District of Haidian, northwestern Beijing, China, is ranked as the best university in mainland China. Tsinghua University offers Bachelor, Masters and Ph. D. degree programs to both national and international students in academic fields including sciences, engineering, humanities and arts, history, philosophy, economics, management, law, education and medicine and so on. Tsinghua University has been active in international cooperation and exchange, making great efforts to the internationalization of student education. In December 1950, fifteen students from Eastern Europe were enrolled into Tsinghua, and it was the first time for the universities of new China to accept foreign students. In the past six decades, Tsinghua has enrolled a total of 15,000 international students.
Tsinghua University is located in the District of Haidian, northwestern of Beijing. It is established on the beautiful site of “Qing Hua Yuan”—a former royal garden of Qing Dynasty, in which “Shui Mu Qing Hua” has a long history of reputation. The south gate of the University campus is near to Wudaokou—a very popular place with international students. The Wudaokou Subway Station and many bus stations are close by with easy access to the Capital International Airport (38 kilometers from the University campus). Haidian District is where most universities are located in Bejing, and therefore many of its inhabitants are college students. As a result of its large concentration of universities, the district is often referred to as the “University District”.
