Instituto Cervantes of Chicago, Illinois is a non-profit organization supported by the Government of Spain, offering Spanish courses and Hispanic world cultural activities and libraries in the heart of the Magnificent Mile, we have been serving the Chicagoland area. The Instituto Cervantes is a public institution created in 1991 for the promotion and teaching of the Spanish language. The Instituto Cervantes also has as its mission to nurture the growth of the Spanish and Spanish-American culture.

Programs:The Instituto Cervantes offers Spanish classes aimed at developing the student's communicative abilities in Spanish at Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, High Advanced levels. In the classroom, the student will learn the necessary techniques for reading, writing, listening, and speaking in Spanish. These courses will prepare the student for the official certificate of Spanish as a Second Language: DELE (Diploma de EspaƱol como Lengua Extranjera). Some classes incorporate the use of multimedia (video, audio, CD-ROM, and connection to Spanish television).
Also Special Courses:
- Courses of Spanish for specific purposes (E1): Spanish for business, Spanish for Spanish speakers, scientific Spanish, and preparation for the official Spanish diplomas (DELE).
- Skill courses (E2): writing, reading, conversation, etc.
- Culture and civilization courses (E3): literature, art, music, cinema, etc.
