Located in Normal IL, close to Chicago, Peoria, St. Louis, and Springfield, Illinois State University's English Language Institute provides an Intensive English Program (IEP) that focuses on practical learning and the special needs of adult language learners. The IEP course includes at least 20 hours of class instruction a week, integrated classes in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, and focuses on developing academic skills.
