College of Architecture and the Arts at University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Students admitted into the Bachelor of Architectural Studies curriculum must complete the high school pattern 2 requirements. Students admitted into the Bachelor of Fine Arts curriculum must complete the high school pattern 1 or 2 requirements. Motivated and academically qualified high school students admitted to the college will be guaranteed admission upon completion of their undergraduate studies to one of the following professional programs: Master of Architecture, Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design or Master of Fine Arts in Industrial Design.

Students:The College of Architecture and the Arts is home to more than 1,100 UIC students. Eighty-five percent are undergraduates; approximately 40 percent of the undergraduate students major in architectural studies.
Lectures and Special Events
Throughout the academic year, the college hosts weekly gatherings of students, faculty and professionals
to view, discuss and critique work in each discipline. The weekly events offer students the opportunity to meet and interact with discipline leaders. Past lecturers have included Skidmore, Owings and Merrill partner William F. Baker, graphic designer Lisa Strausfeld, artist Glenn Ligon, and Chicago Jazz Philharmonic trumpeter and Associate Professor of Music Orbert Davis.
