Located at the base of Colorado's majestic Rocky Mountains, Fountain Valley School of Colorado combines intellectual rigor with a spirit of adventure and exploration.

The school offers a college preparatory program for motivated students who seek a diverse and challenging learning experience within a close-knit and supportive community.

Founded in 1930, FVS provides a co-ed, boarding and day school environment for students in grades 9-12 from across the United States and the world. The School has an 1,100 acre main campus in Colorado Springs and a 40-acre Mountain Campus near Buena Vista, Colo.

FVS is proud of its Western roots and location, and encourages students to embrace the many opportunities associated with living in the West, including the School's adventurous outdoor education and equestrian programs.

Our strong academic component is complemented by an outstanding arts program, which includes both visual and performing arts. Athletics are also important to the School's 250 students, and FVS offers 33 competitive teams in 19 different sports.
- More than 70 courses across 7 departments, including 19 Advanced Placement courses and a selection of honors courses.

The Colorado Rocky Mountain School (CRMS) is a co-educational college preparatory boarding school for students in Grades 9-12, located near Aspen Colorado in the heart of the beautiful Rocky Mountains on a 350-acre working ranch.

We are an exceptional college-preparatory institution that gives our students the skills, confidence, and knowledge to be successful in life and to contribute to their communities.

Our curriculum is sequenced, both to give students a firm foundation in core discipline and to illuminate interdisciplinary connections across active and academic programs and among humanities disciplines.

3. Lowell Whiteman School

Located in Steamboat Springs (3 hours north of Denver), Colorado, The Lowell Whiteman School is a college preparatory co-educational day & boarding school offering academic programs for students in Grades 9-12.

Since 1957, the Lowell Whiteman School has fostered students’ personal and academic growth with a challenging college preparatory education and extraordinary opportunities beyond the classroom.

Students typically take five courses, with two proctored study halls scheduled into their class day. Boarding students also attend a proctored evening study hall five nights per week. Dean’s and honors students are exempt from proctored study halls.

The Lowell Whiteman School is committed to experiential education; our students call it The LWS Experience. From the Rocky Mountains, to the deserts and canyons of the southwest, to the shores of foreign countries, we make tracks. In between, we study hard in the classroom and learn about the world outside.
