International Language Institute, Washington DC:
International Language Institute (ILI) is a language learning institution in the heart of Downtown Washington DC. We provide a wide range of Spanish language courses to students from around the world from beginner to advanced levels. In addition to our General Spanish courses (9 levels), we also provide a specialized Medical Spanish course and Spanish for Travelers. ILI also offers foreign language courses in French and Chinese as well as a wide range of English (ESL) programs. On successful completion of the group language program with the required attendance and 'Passing grade' achieved, students can receive a Certificate of Completion.
Spanish Language Classes:
Beginner to Advanced LevelsGeneral Spanish (9 levels)
The Spanish Language Program at ILI consists of four 10-week terms throughout the year.
We are offering nine different levels from beginner to advanced, including two accelerated classes covering two levels in one term.
In addition, we are offering Spanish for Travelers and Medical Spanish.
Classes meet at the Institute during the week in the evening or on Saturday mornings. In addition, we are offering "Early Riser" classes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 7:30 am. The accelerated classes meet twice per week for 2.5 hours each.

Medical Spanish:
This class focuses on the most commonly encountered situations in the medical field at a beginner's basic level.
These include the family clinic, the emergency room, family planning, hospital admissions, asking and answering questions about symptoms, and handling typical basic documentation procedures.
Vocabulary and grammar relative to these common medical situations are presented and practiced throughout the program.
Spanish for Travelers:
This 5-week course is designed with the social traveler in mind. Using a phrase book/travelers guide the student will practice basic phrases for everyday use while traveling, through in-classroom role-plays, enabling them to communicate instantly on a host of topics: restaurants, shopping, hotel check-ins, health and medical situations, essential services, boat, plane and train travel, much more.
Certificate of Completion:
On successful completion of the group language program with the required attendance and 'Passing grade' achieved, students can receive a Certificate.
