- Total Beginner German Classes:
Enroll for 6, 8, or 12 weeks, and learn the basics of German in a fun, interactive environment.
Designed for students with little or no previous exposure to the German language, our small classes (max. 9 students) mean more one-on-one attention.
In the first 6 weeks, you will learn basic German vocabulary and sentence structure in the present tense, as well as getting an introduction to German cases.
If you choose to study for 8-12 weeks, you can expect to cover question formation, the irregular verbs in the present tense, and gain a deeper understanding of cases.

We have a rolling admission policy so you can join a level-appropriate German class any time!
• Skype / Online German Classes:
Available 7 days a week, with the choice of day, evening and weekend classes.
Connect with your New York based German teacher using Skype and learn in real time. Ideal for those who cannot attend a traditional class, all you need is an internet connection, audio headset, and web camera.
You can schedule your online German lessons for times that best suit you. There is a one-hour minimum for lessons. We can completely customize the class content to meet your specific needs and proficiency goals.

German-American School is a private, not-for-profit German language school that offers an after-school German language program for children from the ages of 4 - 15 throughout the Greater New York City area. We also offer German classes for adults. We offer our classes in convenient locations in Manhattan, NYC; Ridgewood, Queens; Garden City and Franklin Square in Long Island.
Currently 320 students ages 4-15 attend our after-school German programs. We have a staff of 21 experienced teachers, many of whom have been with us for many years.
No previous German language knowledge is required to enter our language program. Our after-school classes meet once a week for 1.75 hours. The German-American school has been Regents-accredited since 1911.
